I like the "jump to file" idea.

Hi,
You can move down or up in a list by 5 files or 10 files by use of
the 1 & 4 keys to move 5 files at a time and by using the 2 & 5 keys
to move by 10 files at a time.
Suppose, as in your example, you want to go quickly to file 15 in
your list, you could just press the 3 key to make sure that you are
at the top of the list, then press the 5 key once, the 4 key once
and then up arrow once and you will be on file 15.
You could also reverse the keys and press the 4 key once, the 5 key
once and then up arrow once to do the same thing.
It would certainly be nice if they could implement a "Jump to file
#" in a future firmware revision so that we could simply press a key
that would ask us to enter a file number and press OK to land on that file!
Until that happens, the method above is quite quick to move around
in the list.

I agree. I like the 5 second in media player. On another topic,
is there a way to jump to a specific book like you can on the
stream? Say, for example, I want to get to book 15 in my nls
folder, is there any other way besides going down one at a time
with the arrow keys?

I might as well pile on here and add my voice to the growing
chorus for shorter time intervals in NLS and Daisy books. I may be
listening to an NLS book, and perhaps I just want to hear the
previous sentence or two because there's an unfamiliar word in it,
or just because my attention wandered for a moment, or because I
want to hear something again so I will remember it better, or for
some other reason. Five or ten seconds would be great. One minute is too long.
On the whole, though, I really love the Book Sense. It is becoming
a constant companion.

I completely agree.
I was reading a daisy book the other day and there were recipes
at the end
of the book. It would have been great to move just seconds within the
recipe.

Turn right, then go straight!
Jeremiah 29:11-14 (Amplified Bible)
11For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the
Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to
give you hope in your final outcome.
12Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me,
and I will hear and heed you.
13Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital
necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.(A)
14I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you
from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places
to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back
to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.
