The BookSense reads Web Braille and Bookshare books okay. Some text files are fine as well. I am really hoping this can be fixed.

David,

This band-aid does help a bit with the pauses in some documents but will really thrash navigation in other types of text files. I really hope the klunky pauses will be fixed in the next release. Incidentally, I don't think this is some immutable feature of the speech engine which cannot be changed. I've seen the very same pause issue be corrected in several other software speech engines upon request.

Hi all,

I have done one thing which reduces the unwanted pauses I spoke about
earlier. the problem is still there, but it is less noticeable than before.

I entered document reader but did not go into a particular book. then I
pressed the menu key and down arrowed to page settings. I then pressed
right arrow and down twice to find a box where I could ignore line feeds,
which I have now done. This does help a good deal.

If this has been discussed before, then I apologise, but it helped me so it
may assist others.

Turn right, then go straight!

        Jeremiah 29:11-14 (Amplified Bible)

11For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

12Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.

13Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.(A)

14I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.
