It is definitely not worse. If I remember correctly, something has
been said about increasing the speed of audio files.

2X. It is good the levels match those of the Stream. I wonder, however,
why it is not planned for the Booksense to be able to do faster speeds. For
some Podcasts especially, where the regular speech is so slow, it is a great

It sounds as if you have listened to both devices; at level 4, is the
quality of the Booksense's algorithms at least equal to (or better than) the
Stream? I want to make sure that they are not worse.
