Hello;
If we have a unit that does not work correct a "good" company
would take them back with no restock fee. If we do not get some of
thesse issues fixed soon I will be seeing if GW Micr will stnd up and
do the right thing. We really should be compensated for putting up
with all the problems in this beta release of a product that was not
sold as a beta and we were charged about $450. (with XL and headset).
Hopefully, if these early units do break after the initial warranty
GW will extend the warrenty. Maybe the warranty period should not
start until we have a working unit.
I gave up on the Bluetooth shortly after I got it. It kept causing
the unit to have to be reset on the rare occasion when I succeeded in
pairing it.
At a minium I hope the waren

You are not the first person who has stated there are problems getting a
Bluetooth headset to reliably work on the Booksense XT. Unfortunately, if
this is true and it is hardware related, then it means that for $150 extra,
all you are getting is a radio, a white color, and 4 gigs of internal
memory. It is unfortunate, given all the stated issues with the units,
there is a 10% restocking fee.

And they could allow it to go through the bluetooth, and allow you to plug
in some ear-buds as an antenna; it should work just fine that way.
unfortunately, I didn't structure my message properly; the radio wasn't the
point I meant to say may not be solvable through software, it was the other
points of broken audio and lack of use of headset controls.

Chip,
From my understanding, they will never make the radio work through the
Bluetooth headset because the Booksense requires the wires of the normal
headphones to act as the antenna. Though personally, I think it would be
nice for it to still channel the radio to the Bluetooth headset because
there are stronger radio stations that always could be received; even if
it's all static, it lets the user see it for him or herself. Having the
ability would still be useful.

Hi,
this is a known problem. I believe it's worse with music (more data to be
moved). also, the controls on the bluetooth headset for pausing, rewinding,
fast forwarding, skipping forwards/backwards a track, do not work. this
isn't a problem with the headset, but with the BS itself. also, just so you
know, the radio will not work over bluetooth.
I have asked if this is a problem that can be fixed via a software update,
and haven't seen any answer.

Hi all,
I'm enquiring on behalf of a friend who isn't on list.
He is using the BS with Bluetooth hearing aids.
If he plays files using the BS then audio is choppy and breaks up.
this is with the BS on his belt and the transmitter for the hearing aids on
his shirt pocket.
If he uses his cell phone in the same way there is no break in audio.
Any ideas?
