Hello. You have it right. Simply download the 1.1 zip file and extract
the .bin file to the root of your SD card. The root in this case means
that it does not go inside any folder of the SD card. So that part is
different than copying books to the SD card since content for the
BookSense goes into specific folders.
Once you have copied the .bin file to the root of the SD card, you can
disconnect the BookSense from the PC, connect the AC adapter to it and
run the update from the advanced menu. We have a knowledge base article
on our site which gives specifics. I believe the kb article is 1107 and
the kb is located in the following page.

Many thanks.

Everyone,
My Book Sense was from July, so it still has the original version of
everything on it. Do I download the 1.1 firmwear the same way I download
zip file books from NLS essentially? Selecting extract file? If so,what
is the proper placement of that file onto the Book Sense? In other
words, I pick computer, drive F, Daisy, and NLS to get to the place
where I create new folders for the NLS books. Where does the firmwear
go, or am I barking up the wrong tree completely? I read the process
article several times on the GW site but am still not quite there on
this. Thanks.
