Hello everyone. We are very close to finalizing the new firmware for the
BookSense. Here is the last teaser on the new features.
This concerns the BookSense mark feature. You will now be able to
quickly switch between 3 different types of marks by pressing the 9 key
while you are listening to a book or reading a document. The 3 types are
regular mark, voice memo, and highlight mark. The regular mark is just
an indication that you have placed a mark in your book, the voice memo
mark allows you to record a message with your mark, and the highlight
mark allows you to set a start and end point so that you can highlight
certain areas of the book you are listening to. Note that the highlight
mark is different than the section repetition feature which the
BookSense has had since the beginning. The section repetition is good
for things like learning music or phrases which you want repeated a
certain number of times. Since the 9 key is now used to switch the
different kinds of marks, its old behavior of choosing a time interval
to move by has been moved elsewhere.
We don't have a release date as yet, but hope to have this firmware
ready just as soon as we are able.
Many thanks.
