True, this can be done. However, I think they are working on adding another folder to the Media mode so that you don't have to place Movies or TV Shows under the Audio Books folder. Not a big deal, but it would be nice for organizational purposes and may reduce some small amount of confusion.

Another reason to treat the Audio Books folder different from other folders in the Media mode, such as Podcasts, Movies and so on, is so that collections of MP3's in an Audio books folder can be treated as a single book broken up into separate MP3 files. If I have a book broken up into 10 MP3 files then it would be nice to hit the Play button on that folder and have it pick up where I left off in the last file I was listening to in that folder. Currently it just takes you to where you left off in the first file in that folder. The info status could also tell you the reading time for the whole folder and how far you've read into that folder. This behaivour would be different for the Podcasts and Record folders and ditto for Movies, TV Shows and so on.

As I'm typing I think it would be good to have a Media mode that works as it does today and then add another mode called Audio Books where each folder is treated as an entire book. Just my $0.02.

[pardon my UNIX influences here, I meant]

You can create subfolders of the audio books folder like this...

audio books\movies
audio books\tvshows
audio books\books
audio books\radio

etc.

It would be a small change for hims to make to rename audio books to media
files, which is a more descriptive name.
