I also think it would be nice to have the TTS volume be separate from the main volume, except when in the document reader or DAISY books with text. So, more precisely, the volume level for menu navigation and informational messages should be separate from file playback. Even better, the message volume could be set as a percentage of the main volume level, so that as you adjust the main volume up or down, the message volume follows suite. This means that whether you are falling asleep or attending your own personal rock concert, you won't have to adjust the message volume separately once the desired level of proportion has been set. What do others think?
Cheryl I'd give up chocolate, but I'm no quitter. Sent from my phone. -original message- Subject: Re: [GW-Booksense] BookSense 2.0 changes From: "Smiling?" <[email protected]> Date: 12/21/2009 11:10 PM I would entirely agree. I would love to see and am quite quite surprised to not see that the ability to control/set the volume of the TTS separately has not been implemented within this firmware update. I was entirely expecting/hoping that the volume control for the TTS would be a entirely separate ordeal all together, very very similar to most of our, if not all of our lovely screen reader volume control abilities to change and set them as we see fit. Having it not be effected at all by the volume control for our media one bit. You know? So we can set up the volume level of the TTS within the global options under voice settings and whatever we then set the volume level at in here, it simply stays, just as does the rate, pitch and whatever selection of voice we see fit does. Other than that though, I am quite happy with the update, great job! And, wishing each and every single one of you, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Christ in Christmas!
