Hi Allison,

I fly quite often, and I use my BookSense XT all of the time when I fly. I
have used it with corded headphones, and I have even used it with Bluetooth
headphones. I remember that I was one time able to briefly receive a radio
station at 19,000 feet. I was briefly trying the radio because I was
curious if I could get anything. While you should always adhere to FAA
rules and regulations, cycling through the radio or leaving Bluetooth
enabled is not going to bring down the plane. Of course, there is a first
time for everything. <grin> The most important thing is to not turn on the
BookSense during departure or arrival until they say electronic devices may
be used. Unless you make a big deal out of what the BookSense can do, the
flight attendants will have no idea your unit has an FM radio or Bluetooth,
so if you keep to yourself about it, you should be fine.

Subject: [GW-Booksense] BookSense XT and air travel

Hi everyone!

Firstly, let me just say that I absolutely love the new firmware! I even
like the new volume adjustments. My question is probably a little silly, but
I am going to be flying from Pittsburgh to San Francisco on Saturday, and I
was wondering if there were any precautions besides turning off bluetooth
which I should take while using the BSXT during the flight. Does it matter
if I cycle past the fm radio as long as I don't keep it on? They're always
very adamant about not operating any devices which emit radio frequencies
while the flight is in progress. Thanks.

Allison
