Steve, can you send me a file to look at? I have some time today and could
play around with finding strange characters.

If you don't have time to do this, that's OK as well.

Subject: Re: [GW-Booksense] Text file crashing the booksense

Pam,

I have encountered the same problem and have already sent a couple of sample
text files to GW Micro. I would guess there won't be much of a chance to
look at this until after the holidays. What I have not tried yet is whether
bringing the files causing me trouble into a Word or RTF document would get
around the problem. Have you tried that yet. This would not be a long term
approach, but if it worked, it might get us buy for the short run until GW
Micro or HIMS can figure out what is causing the problem. There were some
uncommon characters in my files that came from exporting a PDF document that
I believe were mostly decorative. I did not experiment with removing them
but may try that to see what happens. If you stumble on anything, let me
know.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
