Hello Traci. While you are recording press the number 1 and it will place a mark at that point. You can do this up to 1000 times per recording so you have lots of room to work with. When you review your recording you can use either the mark info or you can press up arrow until the BookSense says mark and then move forward or backward to each marked segment.

Hope this helps, and version 2 of the manual will explain this better. We are pretty close to releasing it.

Many thanks.

Hey all, I feel like I should know this answer, but I am new to the
recording side of the bs. I've gone through the namual and can't find
mention of this.
Is it possible to place a beep or highlight during a recording? Say in a
lecture, you know what is being said is particularly important. Remember
on the old tape recorders we could hold down the button to place beep
markers?
Thanks all!
Traci
