On that GPS question what I would really like at times is something simple that I could carry that would easily track my location as I walk. Planning a route, I would rather do at home before I leave, but when I am on a street which curves and/or then goes into another suddenly, I would like something small where I could clip a receiver to my pocket or my dog's harness and a speaker that I could hear easily to just check my location once in a while, especially when something happens to confuse us. I have tried the GPS systems, but they are so complicated they make me absolutely nuts on top of working a dog. If Hims and GW Micro could come up with something like that which worked on the Book Sense, maybe even if I had to purchase another unit for just that purpose, I might be inclined to bite.

This is an interesting thought because I am not too interested in paying my cell phone company to feed the info to me that way. Some times, I wish I was an inventor/programmer/what ever to play with and do some of these things!

Nutty Dianne who has probably taken us too far astray for this list!

Actually Mike Lawler pointed out that there may not need to be any as long as the BookSense could handle the SenseNav program. If its CPU and RAM can handle it, then the BookSense XT already could be modified to pair with the GPS receiver.

So perhaps none. And hey, I've been wrong before, so keep this message handy to remind me.

Raul,

I'm curious as to what hardware changes you had in mind? assuming you would be using an external gps receiver, many of which have a bluetooth interface, and the rest have a usb interface, I don't see why any hardware would need
changing?

Hello. People has asked and there has been speculation, but I doubt this
would be possible since it would most likely require hardware changes.
This would mean that your current BookSense would not be able to use GPS.
There are already other GPS solutions such as a Voice Sense with SenseNav.
In Addition, the BookSense is marketed as an accessible book reader and
music player.

Many thanks.

Hello.
Did someone on here say that GWMicro was looking into a future release
that would include GPS? If so... I'll love my Booksense even more!
