Did you try deleting the files on your Book Sense and recopying them from your PC? I had that problem once with one NLS book locking up in the middle of the book, and recopying it solved the problem. I also had an RFB&D book that wouldn't load, and all I did was recopy the file from my PC to the Book Sense and it played perfectly after that.
This may not help you at all, but it's certainly worth trying first.
