Did you try deleting the files on your Book Sense and recopying them from your
PC? I had that problem once with one NLS book locking up in the middle of the
book, and recopying it solved the problem. I also had an RFB&D book that
wouldn't load, and all I did was recopy the file from my PC to the Book Sense
and it played perfectly after that.

This may not help you at all, but it's certainly worth trying first.

Subject: [GW-Booksense] NLS book locking up my BS

  Hi,

I have a BookSense XT that is at version 2 of the firmware.

I just downloaded a NLS book and placed it on the internal flash disk. When
I start to play the book, I get the beeps letting me know it is loading; the
title is read and the name of the author is about to be said. At this point,
the author name is cut off and my BookSense is frozen to the point I have to do
the reset or pull the battery.

This is the second NLS book to do this to me.

I have several other books on the device, all in the internal flash disk, but
these 2 are the only ones that give me problems so far.

DB69415 is the book I just added today. I am not sure of the number for the
other book.
