I agree with Rod that a better search feature should be a priority. A search
feature using the keyboard to enter text should have been included from the
first, but since it wasn't, it should have made it into version 2.0.

  Subject: [GW-Booksense] Searching documents

  Hi,

I love my Book Sense and all of the nice things that it can do!

But, there are a couple of things that need work on the firmware end.

We all know about the pronounciation dictionary problems, and we are told
that they *MIGHT* be working on this one.

But, I really do hope that they will change/fix the ability to search
documents properly!

It's bad enough that we can't enter a search term that we want to look for,
but have to first find what we want ourselves and then, (and how many times
does one do this?) we can search for the exact same thing again!

Now, when I really want to use this feature within a file from NLS (Talking
Book Topics in text format) I find that the "programmers" in their infinite
wisdom have prevented me from doing so!
If you have ever read and searched one of these files, you may know that the
NLS has marked these files with the number sign to seperate the various parts
of the file.
Well, guess what! They have made it impossible to search for *ANY*
punctuation marks!
Why? I know of no other document reader software that dis-allows the use of a
punctuation mark as a search term!

Maybe we can get them to change the search feature to allow us to search for
multiples of a punctuation mark in a firmware revision?
  One can only hope.

  Rod
