Transferring material to an SD-card directly rather than through the
usb-port is faster. Also, one can have two or more cards with different
material on them and add to one without having to first insert it into the
BookSense.

works just fine on the booksense, even with Apple computers.

I'll try activating my book sense as an audible player later. Thanks for
letting me know that had to be done first. Once done, you could just
paste the audible books in the audio books folder right?
