Nothing will happen if you connect an nls cartridge to the booksense.

As far as I know it thinks you plugged in a memory stick and creates it's
own folders on it. Don't know what happens with the NLS cartridges but
that's what happens with blank cartridges. The NLS ones might be write
protected.
