I am very happy with my Book Sense, and the only reason I would look at
anything else is if the speech were phenomenally better. But, I am not
really in the market very seriously at this point because I am perfectly
happy with what I have.

Something I have started using mine for is short little notes to myself
regarding appointments. For example, I had my hair cut today and made next
month's appointment already and just recorded a very quick message of,
"April 21, one o'clock, Renee" which seems to have fit within that preview
window which means I don't even have to open up the recording. Just checking
the list gives me what I need. It really does very well for this purpose for
me.

The Book sense is terrific for my needs right now.

I'd like to hear that as well. I understand that there was a "Main Menu" or

maybe the global voice or some other blindness program that did a side by
side comparison of all the various book readers -- I think there are 4 or
maybe more -- and that it is available somewhere in the archives. A friend
who listened to that comparison said that this is what influenced him to buy

a victor stream, giving the reason that the voice to him was much clearer on

the stream. Anyway, that was after I had already bought my booksense. But
I like my booksense (so far) and so don't want to trade it in.
Anyway, I'll fire off an email to my friend and ask what program that was
that had the comparison and will post it on the list.
Happy reading.

Hello. I was wondering how the new Book Port Plus by APH compares to
the BookSense. Will the comparison chart that compares the BookSense
to other devices out there be updated soon?
