I think that if the Book Sense XT is moving you from the folder where you have been reading to another folder when you turn the unit on again, I would try doing a reset to see if that solves the problem. It may have its brains scrambled for some reason. If that doesn't stop it, I would check with Tech Support.
I used to have my unit inadvertently turn up on the flash drive after shut-down and restart, and reset stopped that from happening.
