I normally like a male voice as well, as I have a hearing loss and for me the male synthetic voices seem to pronounce the consonants more distinctly than the female voices. That is the way it is in eloquence anyway. Eloquenc has several female and 1 child voice and I can't make sense of any of them.
However, on the booksense, I am gravitating toward kate. Paul has a sharp sounding voice that almost sounds like he is cutting you with his tongue...*smile* He also sounds angry to me.
