It is quite expensive, but have you heard the Word of Promise Audio Bible? It is fully dramatized with movie quality sound effects and music. It is narrated by Michael York. The actor who played Jesus in The Passion of the Christ reads the part of Jesus in this version. Most of the other 500 or so actors are excellent as well. You can get it in either CD or instant download. The version is New King James.

From Audible, I got The Listeners' Bible. I also have a copy of the Amplified Bible. As far as Audible is concerned, you will get negative reviews no matter where you go. I have been a member since June of 2003 and have 2 accounts. They don't have all the audio books I want, but neither does BARD. Audible has a lot of books I do like. I should own stock in the company! I have hundreds of books in both of My Libraries.

What can I say? Some people collect miniatures... or CD's, etc. I collect books!

I don't like purchasing CDs. I've had bad luck with them not playing and I don't want to go to all that extra work of making mp3 files.

I got my New Testaments from
www.gobible.com
and downloaded them into my PC then I unzipped them and copied them to my BSP and to my BookSense. I don't like King James and I already have NIV. I don't use either Bookshare or Audible. I have thought of joining Audible, but it doesn't have some of the audiobooks I want. Also, I have seen some negative reviews about its Bibles.

Turn right, then go straight!

        Jeremiah 29:11-14 (Amplified Bible)

11For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

12Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.

13Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.(A)

14I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.
