Hi,

Recently, I downloaded the daisy version of Lincoln by Gore Vidal from
BookShare. What I found was that at most page breaks, text was repeated.
Sometimes
only a few words were repeated but sometimes a paragraph or more was repeated.
My first assumption was that there may have been a scanning problem, but
when I saw the book was rated to be in excellent quality, I did further
investigation. I found that the "BRF" version of the same book read fine on
the
BookSense, that the daisy version worked fine on another daisy player, and
finally, I could not see any repeated text when I spot checked a few pages when
looking in the XML file. Is this a known problem, and if not, how can I report
it?

Second, I have had trouble from time to time when unplugging the AC adapter and
then unplugging headphones with the BookSense not turning on when I
tried to power up later. I have resorted to doing a reset when this happens.
I discovered quite by accident today that if I plug the headphones back in, the
BookSense suddenly turns on. It is as though it could not switch to the
speaker when turned off and had to wait for the headphones to be present before
it
could continue. If one runs into this and doesn't want to reset, trying to get
things going by plugging in the headphones again is worth a try. I suspect
that
unplugging the AC adapter and then the headphones causes the AC Adapter
Disconnected message to not being completed but I don't know for sure.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
