I have been having issues with the beta instalation.
the xp pro sp3 machine at work is working again with beta2; however,
when uninstalling to try again, I looked around with narrator. Some
things were not getting removed.
I used to use the c:\wineyes folder, but now I am using the new
"%appdata%" quick install.
I was left with both c:\wineyes and program files\ ...
I used the standard control pannel uninstall, then I ran the remove tool
from the web site.
Then I found I still had a Scansoft folder in c:\wineyes. I finally got
it out.
I also had a shortcut to "default" folder on my desktop using the new
install location. I am not sure if this caused any trouble, but it
needed to be deleted and redone even since beta1 (new quick install.)
I am still having trouble with the first item in list boxes reading when
I enter the list. I have to press space or an arrow to hear what is is.
Also, the list of messages in my outlook 2003 boxes do not read.
I can hit the status key to see how many--and just "blindly read them"
without knowing who they are from.
That's all for now.
I'll try to get my vista machine talking again this weekend.
