No the memory usage is minimal and not a factor.

I'm running beta 2 with Windows XP and I just turned scripting off to
see if it runs any better. I can tell you one thing. Response is much
faster. And so far it hasn't crashed. This is with 512 Mb memory. Since
the only scripting I've used so far is the one that shows the status of
things like downloads and uploads, it will be easy for me to leave it
off and test some of the spots that have sometimes created problems.
