Hi list,

I followed this thread for the last few days and I must say that I do
not experience this loss of speech issue with WE 7 Beta 2 and Dec Access
32. There was 1 instance where a sudden loss of speech did occur. This
speech loss occurred in the SelectText script. There was a run-time
error in the script just after the following line:
' Synthesizers.Active.SuspendSpeech = True
Fortunately I have a Braille display and could discover what was going
on. This can certainly also happen in other scripts and will cause a
total loss of speech. Without a braille display, another screen reader
or sighted help it-s impossible to know what's going on.
Just to summarize: If an error occurs in a script after the
Suspend?Speech property is set to false and the property is set back to
true and the error is not handeld, speech is lost.
