You know what's really weird? I don't have this crash when tabbing from
treeview to listview in OE, but I do find that sometimes when I tab I either
hear nothing but have tabbed there, or I can't tab there at all. So say I am on
the listview of msgs and I want to go to a different folder. I press shift tab
to go to the treeview. I often hear nothing and then press tab again and often
I hear things again. If I silently tabbed to the treeview, I can still press a
letter of the folder I want like d for deleted items and I go there and I have
speech.
However, sometimes I cannot tab or shift tab at all. Wineyes just keeps
repeating no selected item if I press tab or shift tab. Sometimes, if I press
alt t for tools it won't take me there. I have to press alt and use arrows to
get to the menus. Sometimes control m to send/receive won't respond. Any ideas?
I am running the old elloquence on xp sp3 with 1 gig of ram on this virtual
machine on this 4gb ram iMac.
I wonder if my loss of confirmation that I have tabbed to my treeview and not
being able to get to menus and perform commands sometimes is related to these
problems with the loss of speech? Maybe not but thought I'd mention it as it is
annoying. I can press alt f4 and close OE and reload it and all is well again.
It usually happens after I have already done some sending/receiving etc.

Subject: RE: Beta2 Loss of speech

  Hello All & GWMICRO Support

Back from vacation and have a few comments from my experience on the loss of
speech issue in Beta2.

  1. Virtually all my loss of speech problems occur in Outlook Express. This
happens just as much with scripting enabled or disabled. And, it is almost
always when TABBING from the folder tree view to the messages list view.

  2. Richard's taskkill batch file does not work when the loss of speech occurs
in Outlook Express but works fine when no loss of speech has occurred.

  3. The loss of speech in Outlook Express was present in WE6.1 but is worse in
WE 7.0 Betas.

My system is XP-Home/SP3, triple talk pci speech.
  HTH somehow, Phil
