Hi there. Please let us know how Easy Office works for you in terms of
accessibility and similarity to Word i.e., how easy is it to get things
done.
Thanks.

Could we please clearly define the subject line here, are we talking about
Open Office Or Easy Office? Both have database clients but (as Open
Office appears not to be accessible yet for Windows then I'll change the
subject line to Easy Office.
Easy Office can be used in trial mode for 30 days, I'm going to have a
play with it and (if its accessible enough) then I'll buy, I won't touch a
Microsoft product as I think they're ve over priced but that's another
discussion for another day <smile>.

Actually, it has both of those things. I'm certain that it includes a
database component. I remember reading about it in the manual.
As for web design, does MS Office enable you to create valid XHTML pages
with valid CSS definitions?

Forget it. Although it has a wordprocessor, spreadsheet, PIM client and
presentation, it doesn't seem to have a database and web development
tool. I think I'll stick to Office 2003 Professional. Oh well.

I downloaded open office. I can read a lot with the mouse but the
arrow keys speak nothing which is unacceptable to me. I guess I am
stuck with office xp as I can't stand the new office 2007 and I
don't know where to get office 2003.

Open Office is written in Java isn't it? If so then it's not going
to be greatly accessible with any screen reader, JAVA Bridge or
not.
Seem to recall JAVA support might be in the next version of
Window-Eyes.
Certainly I've given up on MS Office upgrades as I cannot justify
the cost to myself of upgrading from Office 2k.
Cheers,
Ray.

This is probably of little help to you but the new beta seems to
quite well for the Mac <smile>, I did hear that progress was being
made with the Windows Beta version so you may wish to check at
