Hi, Window-eyes will run on a celeron, but for not much more money
you could get a low end core two duo or even a turion x2 with better
hardware all around. We're talkin maybe $50 difference for a much
better system spec.
Best,
Erik

Hi All:
I'm looking at buying a lap top and also at possibly switching from
Jaws to
Window-eyes as my screen reader. I was looking at a laptop I liked
but the
dealer told me it didn't have the processing power to run jaws, I
think he
said it was a celleron, forigve my spelling. Does window-eyes
require the
same amount of processor as Jaws, obviously I am unfamilar with this
subject
so if anyone can give me an idea of what I should be looking for for
either
program that would be helpful.
Also from the very limited reading I've done it seems that window-
eyes works
well with microsoft products but are there scripts or otherwise for
things
like wordperfect?
Any other info regarding moving from jaws to window-eyes would be
appreciated.
Thanks
Tessa
