Not the experienced user with the web, but there are convolutions to
finding X script, going to it's description, and then, it's
particular download link, backing out of that, finding X script on
the computer, executing it, ... convolutions which every person,
frankly, should learn, granted, just thinking of the convenience of
that particular third party script which makes for convenience of
execution of scripts rather than forcing end user into confronting a
lot more with a new product than is really needed with it's addition
to the default. Now, my description is, convoluted. <grin>

Curtis. Can you share with us what part of the Script Central
site you find convoluted so we can address that and perhaps make it
easier than it already is?

What that does is "force" the end user into going to the web site,
and go through the convolutions of the scripting web site to find
"x" script, rather than having the ability from a list. I believe a
better solution would have been to, promulgate that you are willing
to publish with your product, a good script from a third party
which encourages other third parties to write them. Look ma, see
what has happened? A company had enough confidence in my creation
to include it in their product.
In house is great, but, expansion is what scripts give Window-Eyes
one of it's attractive aspects, as set files do, and having a bit
to do with the development for the sets for the installation of
PM-Mail, I was flattered to find my name as part of the inclusion.
Just a thought.

There are a lot of good scripts available, but we didn't want to
force all of them on users and we also chose to only include
scripts produced by GW Micro, at least for the initial release
(7.0) that included scripting.

One thing, I wonder why you guys at GW-Micro did not include one
all-important script from a third party, "install packages?" It
is such a natural inclusion and would help the end-user, since
most people these days have live internet connections. Puzzled here.

One thing which you might want to do is go to Script Central,
register an account, and add the scripts you want to know about
in your favorites. This way when a new update comes out, you
will be emailed about it. This way you don't have to keep
checking Script central for new updates. Sure, if the author
wrote in an update check, the script can check for updates on
its own, but this is not always possible due to some networking.
