Hello Pam. Which synthesizer are you using?
Many thanks.

When I read the readme file I was delighted to read, or at least
believe I read that W/E would resume speaking after hibernation.
Unfortunately this does not appear to be the case with my new
Window-Eyes 7.0 installation. I get the familiar chime announcing that
"Window-Eyes is already running", but even if I press the space bar to
ok that message I cannot make Window-Eyes come back to life. What's
more, I can't even close W/E after launching JAWS in hopes of closing
and re-opening W/E. I'm just [plain out of luck for using Window-Eyes
unless I want to do a hard reboot. The dead Window-Eyes doesn't
interfere with JAWS, so sometimes I just stay with that for a while, but
if I want to go into hibernate or, heaven forbid, I miss the battery low
indication and the battery stops, I must re-boot to get back to
Window-Eyes.
Is there a command other than alt plus F4 I'm missing? What might be
going on here, or did I simply misunderstand the readme? <Told you I
was no good with manuals.> <sigh>
I recall much discussion of a "Kill Window-Eyes" function in the Betas,
but since I wasn't using these releases I didn't pay attention, and
didn't notice them in Script Central, though maybe I didn't read far
enough down that list.
Pam
