WE no longer reads field names for static controls which is causing
the Wetsock change. Doing so caused more problems and we couldn't
come up with a good way to keep the same behavior in Wetsock and fix
the other problems. Unfortunately we aren't able to duplicate the
favorites issue.

I checked it, and the field name is checked, but it still says just
the field data and not the field name in Wetsock. And my favorites
in Internet Explorer still often read "25 of 32" or whatever when I
arrow up and down.

It's under the focused category.

I looked in the verbosity dialog box and didn't see anything about
field names there. Hmmm.

Hello. For the wetsoc program you want to make sure that you have
read field name checked in the verbosity dialog box. If you don't
the names of some field names won't read and you will only get the data.
I don't know why the menu items in your favorites are not reading
as I cannot duplicate this issue on my machines.

Hi, all. I've noticed that in WE 7 WE doesn't seem to read some
things as well as earlier versions did. When I'm in the list of
favorites in Internet Explorer 7, and I arrow up and down, WE
usually just reads "27 of 32, 28 of 32", etc., and I have to use
the speak summary key to see what the name of the particular
favorite is. Every now and then it will read a name, but it
seems to prefer numbers. I've also noticed it reads things
differently in Wetsock. Instead of saying "temperature, 58
degrees", it'll just say "58 degrees". Of course I know that's
temperature, and since I know Wetsock well, I know what some of
the less obvious partial readings are referring to. But I can
only get it to read the whole thing by hitting the speak summary
command at each half-read item.
Is there any way of fixing this so it reads like it used to?
