I do not run xp any more but if you use the jump to items script I do
believe that this will give you the functionality you are speaking of. Not
only with add remove but other lists as well.
So let's say you want to uninstall jaws 7.0 you could hit control j type
jaws from within the dialog press enter and it would take you right to it.
and well if that was not the program you want let's say you want to remove
jaws 7 and it dropped you on jaws 6 you could hit windows j and move to the
next thing in the list matching your search string. Of course you could use
the jump command control j to look for something else.

How are you running the script?
I am asking because when I first downloaded and tried to use the Add/Remove
programs script, I thought it wasn't working, but I did something wrong.
You see, I was under the mistaken impression that once the Add/Remove script

was installed, I could go into the control panel and run Add/Remove the
way one usually does and the script would kick in.
When I investigated further, however, I found that you have to press the
add/remove hotkey, I can not remember what it is right now. Then a dialog
which is similar to the add/remove dialog which is in the control panel will

appear and then you can press the first letter of a program name in order to

get to it. other than that, the new add/remove dialog works just like the
original one.
