Thanks Jim.

Although I had read the new features, I had forgotten that one.

That does, of course, beg the question, what is changing my keyboard
settings anyway?

I am not deliberately doing anything.

I would normally have Outlook 2007 and IE running in the foreground.

There are various things in the sys tray, such as :
Nokia PC suite
Symantec Anti virus
Auto sizer
And various sound and screen applications.

Any idea?

Regards, John

Window-Eyes now indicates when the keyboard language has changed by speaking
the
name of the input language.

Correction,

It actually says:
Keyboard, English United Kingdom
Not Great Britain.

It did that when I exited from MS Outlook 2007.

Subject: Keyboard being announced

Hello list,

I have noticed that, while using WE 7, that on occasion there will be one of
2 announcements made for no apparent reason:
Keyboard, English united states
Keyboard, English great Britain

I can only guess that this is coming from one of the scripts, but have no
idea which one. Does anyone know?
Secondly, as I am in the UK and always use an English keyboard setting I am
intrigued to understand why the script sometimes think that I have a US
setting.

Thanks for any clues.

 Regards, John
