If you find your insert key on your laptop to be problematic. I would
suggest that you download a copy of the remap caps lock script.
This script will allow the caps lock key to function as the insert key,
which is especially useful on laptops.
You can download the script from
http://www.gwmicro.com/sc

also, I would like to be able to assist you with your problems with the
manual.
Could you please explain your difficulty in more detail.
I am afraid I am not sure what you mean by" as complicated as a Rubik's
cube."
I of course know what a Rubik's cube is, but do not understand the
reference. As regards to the Window-Eyes manual.
Have you availed yourself of the other formats of the manual found on the
CD?
for example there is a version of the manual formatted for Windows media
audio that you can listen to with Windows media player or Winamp. If you
find compiled help problematic.
There is also a plain text version of the manual located in a sub-folder in
your Window-Eyes installation folder, which is usually
C:\Program Files\GW Micro\Window-Eyes\manual
I do hope this helps.

Subject: Accessing the clock

Hello list,

I have a question that I should be able to find on my own, but I have to
tell you, I tried and I just can't figure it out. I looked at the Window
Eyes manual, but the way it works has always been a mystery to me. After I
press f6 things seem to get more complicated then Rubik's Cube. I would like
to know if there is a hot key to access the clock using a laptop. On a
regular key board insert T works very nicely. Then on a laptop to do the
same thing, holding down the second key from the left on the bottom row and
the letter m to get the insert key and then pressing the letter T, seems to
be a bit awkward. Do you folks know of a better way? Thanks,

    David
