Hello, Karen. To find out which version of Outlook Express you are using, press
ALT-H or go to your menu bar and arrow to Help and then arrow down to "About,"
and press ENTER. You can use your mouse keys to read the information which will
include the version. Regarding the preview pane, from your Inbox, go to the
View Menu and arrow to "Layout." Tab to the checkbox "Show Preview Pane" and
uncheck it. You can find information about showing and hiding your preview pane
in the help contents as well. Hope this helps.

  Subject: Outlook Express Question

I have recently changed computers, and am having a problem with Outlook
Express. Messages seem to be opening in the preview pane, and I can't seem to
figure out how to turn it off. Can anyone help?

I am using WE 6.1, and Windows XP, Can't figure out how to determine which
version of Outlook Express, but I think it may be 6 point something, possibly
version 7. It's been quite awhile since it was upgraded.

  Thanks,

  Karen Poulakos
