if the Start button will start the system, pressing windows-key d should
toggle you between the desktop and start button but I guess if you are in
Hibernate mode that wouldn't help. You might try to quickly press the power
button on your computer, I know that works on most laptops.

I use WEXP7 and for the first time I find the shutdown has five
options--probably always been there, but, you know, ho hum
Anyway one of the five options is hibernate, so I am thinking it is a
better way of closing out the system; however, how do I get it back up
again?
