Wizmo is great. However, I do not seem to be able to get it to mute or unmute my sound card. I have tried using it in various ways I made sure it had Admin rights. I performed the command using the Run command, I tried it from within a command prompt, and I tried using a shortcut with the mute syntax added. I am using Vista Business. My syntax is wizmo mute=1
I still have sound. If I do wizmo mute=0 I hear the sound like it did something that time, but as I still had sound nothing seems different. Any suggestions will be appreciated. -----Original Message----- From: Mike Pietruk [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Sunday, February 15, 2009 7:00 AM To: Steven Clark Cc: [email protected]; [email protected] Subject: Re: A serious problem when shutting down or restarting my computer Ditto to Steve's comments on Wizmo. I have found it, over the years, to be an indispensible utility, on my pcs. I have set several hotkeys, in conjunction with Wizmo, to do all sorts of things including shutdown, reboot, and a variety of volume and unmute settings. I have even set up one hotkey that guarantees the unmuting of the soundcard accompanied by a horrific gong to indicate that the task has been accomplished. An absolutely great little tool.
