There are gray market 9 cell batteries, that are not supported by the
manufacturers. They are too large for the case, and will stick out
from the back. They are really butt ugly. The Asus has some nifty
power management features, and you can get as much as 6 to 7 hours
from the 6 cell battery. i understand that the new Atom CPU is
supposed to have better battery life, but that's what the
manufacturers say. if you really think you need more than 6 hours on
a charge, you can always pick up a second battery. Do make sure that
you do not get a battery smaller than 6 cell. The Asus comes
standard with a 6 cell battery, but the Acer and some others only
offer a 3 cell battery unless you specifically ask for a larger battery.

Does anyone know if you can get a longer life battery for the HP
Mini or any of the others like the Asus? Also, are you guys saying
that the HP mini has the largest size keys on it of all of the mini notebooks?
Thanks,
John
