Launch Internet Explorer and then turn browse mode off. That should fix your problem for now.

With versions 7.X it seems to be a little better, because when this happens often pressing control+shift+A to invoke MSAA mode works. I just got a message, open it and tried to read it -- from Windoweyes' perspective, the screen is blank. when I cloae Windoweyes, bring it up again and re-open the message, it rads fine.
