Firewalls have nothing to do with viruses. They help prevent other
computers from controlling yours, but they do nothing to protect
against viruses. There are suites like norton Internet security,
that provide a firewall, antivirus program, antispam program, and
spyware program.

Without any hesitation, my vote goes to NOD32. I have used
several anti virus programs over the years, avast being the last
one that I quickly dumped in favor of NOD32. I only use the anti
virus program, dont need the other stuff as I use a wireless
router which also acts as a firewall.
