Another question. are you using the classic scheme?  if not, you will see
some very odd  behavior, including being unable to access ID3 tag
information.
If you are not using the classic scheme, I suggest that you switch to it.
The easiest way to do this is to delete the Winamp.ini    file, and go
through  the final setup  procedure again.  This time selecting to use the
classic scheme when prompted for scheme.
