Greetings, I find myself in the position where I am running the latest version of Window-Eyes, however I have to keep a rather out-dated version of the competing screen reader on my system for use with the Eclipse IDE (www.eclipse.org), which I require for my job.
Of course that out dated screen reader doesn't work with the current software on my system such as Firefox, Office 2007 etc, and I would very much like to get rid of it entirely, however I am unable to achieve consistent results in Eclipse with window-eyes 7.01. I would go so far as to say Window-Eyes works 95% in Eclipse however it seems to have some trouble tracking in the editor window, often announcing things from other tabs which don't currently have focus rather than the text from the edit control I am currently focused on when I'm scrolling up and down. It is as if it is having trouble identifying the boundaries of the edit control I am interested in, and occasionally thinks an item in the package explorer for example is inside the currently focused tab. Unfortunately I haven't looked in any great detail into set file creation, or the more recent scripting developments, but I am wondering if something can't be done to tidy up the couple of minor annoyances in Eclipse so that I can permanently uninstall jaws 6 ... yes I said it was rather old. Any help with this issue would be very much appreciated.
