I had something like that happen periodically when I would visit a specific web page but it was only on that page. However this may be something to try. If this is typically happening within your browser or other MSSAA enabled application try bringing up the verbosity dialog (INSERT-V by default,) navigate to Languages in the Browse Mode group, and uncheck the option to automatically switch synthesizer languages. This worked for me.

I have noticed this behavior on both my laptop, and my desktop PCs. Any Idea? PS: you will specially notice it, with a headset, as the difference is not that big, that you might notice on a speaker set.
