Ok lists are a little slower in window-eyes but the upshot is that window eyes is always right. So gw don't speed it up if it means that Accuracy will suffer. I would rather be slower and accurate then fast and wrong even a small percentage of the time generally list views are used to keep track of files and deleting the wrong file is definitely not a desired outcome. Of course this is just my personal opinion.
