I can answer your second question and I'm posting my answer to the list
in case other people find this useful.  I can recommend a very good free
and accessible file cleaner called CCleaner available from
www.ccleaner.com.  CCleaner will make it easy to find and remove
unnecessary files from your hard disk.  If you haven't done this for a
while you might be surprised how many useless files are filling up your
hard disk.  You can hear a demonstration of CCleaner used with screen
readers by downloading the MP3 file available from
http://www.blind-geek-zone.net/Audio/CCleanerDemo.mp3.  I hope this
