Hi, launch Adobe. Press alt+E and arrow up to Preferences.

Under Categories, arrow to Internet. Press the tab key and when you land
on open PDF files in the browser, press the spacebar if it is
checked.This will remove the check.

Tab to OK and press the enter key or spacebar.

If it is already not checked, then you have a different problem.

Vic,

Subject: Opening PDF on a webpage

I have been visiting several websites, lately, that has certain text or
documents available in PDF. I go to the link, and press Enter, and WE
reports 'Adobe Reader', then shortly after it shows the webpage, in IE8,
but no pdf document. In one case, the menu for choosing the reading
format of the pdf, in adobe, will show up for a few seconds, and then I
am back in IE8. Alt-Tabbing gives me the information, there is NO
instance of Adobe open. What can I do, and which settings might I have
to play around with, so as to have the PDF documents on webpages,
opening in Adobe? I am running Adobe 7, on my system.

Feedback greatly appriciated!
