The jTunes scripts cost $75 in the U.S. although I did talk T and T
Consultancy to letting me pay for them by phone directly from the UK. The
price was a bit cheaper that way. I personally think $75 is a bit pricey,
but I would have no problem paying for top-quality scripts.
I know for a fact that Aaron Smith would like to hand the Skype scripts to
anyone who is truly interested in working on them and they really do need
some serious updating and enhancement. Also, Windows Live Messenger could
use some TLC as well. Those are the two programs that come to mind at
present. Any serious scripters might consider checking out
www.snowmanradio.com to see what Jim Snowbarger has worked on and what he
charges. His prices are quite reasonable, in my opinion.

Thanks Jamie.
I think it's good that you (and anyone else), keep mentioning what
scripts you really need; that's how I got started on the MS Word script,
because Edward mentioned that he needed it.
I don't use I-tunes, and can't say if someone will volunteer to do it or
not, but whenever anyone mentions wanting a script, it's always a good
idea to mention if you are willing to pay for it, and how much.
I don't know J-tunes, but I assume it's a script for jaws, and I think
it's for sale; so, who-ever does the equivalent for WE just may feel
they're also entitled to sell their version.

Chip, I would like to thank you and others like yourself who
are writing WE
scripts that help all of us so much. There are a few examples
of stellar
Jaws scripts, but not a lot. I really believe that only when
some really
useful scripts are written for WE will the blind community in
general start
to take notice. I realize that many of the scripts on Script
Central are
proof of concept scripts, and that these are very important
in their own
right, but I for one look forward to the WE iTunes script
that gives jTunes
a real run for its money. That's just an example, but I truly
would use such
a script.
