Hi Sandra,
How timely your post today on the list. I have been sitting here this
afternoon playing around with various settings and discovering, even though I
save a set file in a particular application, it fails to hold after closing and
returning to the application. I think there is something funny going on with
the Window-eyes.000 set file. I have been trying to work out the logic of the
bubble up effect which, perhaps, I don't understand, but it doesn't seem to
match what and how I thought it worked. I tried to make some changes in the
win-eyes.000 setfile thinking that since it is the root setfile, maybe somehow
its settings were overriding those I make in an application. Well, even though
when I attempted to save the win-eyes.000 setfile I got a message asking me if
I wanted to over write it and I said yes, I am still having the same problems
with settings not apparently staying put. so, I decided to look around a bit
and woe and behold, I not only found the win-eyes.000 sefile, but also one that
was called win-eyes copy.000. Now that has me wondering what is going on. I
will continue to fool around with this for a bit longer but I have felt for
some time that there is a logic problem with the way WE transits between
setfiles. I know this doesn't help, but maybe you wil feel better knowing
others are in the same boat.

Hi all. I might be beating a dead horse. But I wish gw micro would go
back to save global settings instead of saving set files. I hate those. I
don't think they always hold. Besides, most of the time, I want my settings
saved globally. It's a pain to go into each program and do that!! For example,
I turn the enter key on. I even saved the stupid set file, This was in
ms-word. As soon as I logged off my computer and logged back on, it was off.
Drives me crazy!
