hi Ray,
I have an Asus netbook running Window Eyes 7.1. As these are
machines running Windows XP Home, there are no special issues as far
as WE is concerned. To me, it operates the same way as any other XP
machine I have used. The keyboard is basically a laptop style
keyboard, but the keys are a little smaller. As far as the type of
encryption, I would think that this would be a function of your
router, and not the PC. I am running office 2003, Skype, WLM, etc.,
and have had no issues. I did up the RAM from the included 1 GB to 2
GB. The machine actually seems to run faster than my other
machines. i have been very pleased with the purchase. The only
thing that I would recommend, other than upping the RAM is to
purchase an external USB DVD burner so you can install software from
a CD, burn or play content on CD, etc.

Hello:
We're both thinking about getting a Netbook to replace our Braille Note and
Voice Note, respectively. I have some questions.
1. For anyone using Window-Eyes on a Netbook, are there any things that we
should be aware of?
2. From your experience, do most Netbooks support WPA encryption for WiFi?
3. Have any of you put Office 2007 on a Netbook and if yes, what issues, if
any, did you have?
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
