Sorry Pete, but I have never worked for GW Micro or any other access technology outfit. I am retired after 35 + years in the aerospace industry as well as in various forms of auto racing; particularly as an engine builder.

Nice try though<grin>.

I completely disagree that screen magnifers aren't speech synthesized
software. I argue that it won't tax their resources. YOur probably a
flunky that works for the GW staff. I don't complain either because
it's positive constructive criticism. Experimental how? What isn't
experimental in the first stages like G-Mails beta e-mail? Oh, more
people agree that these korean notetakers are experimental that aren't
even made by GW-Micro either. HOld on a second before shooting the
bull.

While I'm a unabashed fan of GWMicro, I don't think that they have near
the resources to do everything that we would want. In other words, they
can't be everything to everybody. While I think that they could do a
great job with a cell phone type of screen reader application, I think
that they should stick to what they know best. There are many people on
this list that spend countless posts complaining on what they would like
GWMicro to be able to do with Window Eyes in the work place, adding a cell

phone application would even be more taxing to their limited resources.

I would rather see them concentrate on doing what they know best and not
see them try and reinvent the wheel.

Hey Peter,
That's a wonderful idea!
But then we hear all this crap about the magnification needs, so heres
a better idea.
What if gw made a window-eyes program for mobel phones, but with
speech and magnification all in one!
What does everyone think?
Best regards,
Tyler Juranek

To list,

What do you think about GW-Micro going into the mobile speak
compeitition frey? I think personally it would be better than going
into low vision products and it allows them to be more specialized
other than these screen magnifers. Sorry if there are any screen
magnifer users out there but it's just what I think. I might submit a
request for that poduct service in the future. They could have a
window-eyes mini as an additional rate of 100$ or 200$s added on to
your original purchase or individually at x amount of dollars An
update would be great all the way around personally.
