Afraid Jeff this mightn't be very helpful, but I have all the settings you speak of, including the bull's eye circle round the mouse pointerwhen pressing the control key, in mouse pointer options in the mouse settings dialogue. I'm using XP Pro too.
So, I wonder if it's a driver issue and whether you might look for an update to the installed driver or reinstall it? that's the only thing I can think of. Ray Jeff Samco wrote: Hello list, I am running Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3. I usually use my computer with the screen turned off. But occasionally I need to use my limited vision to locate the mouse pointer. I want to change some mouse pointer characteristics I've read about but I don't find them in my Mouse Pointer Option under the Mouse settings of Control Panel. For instance, I read there is a setting to have bulls-eye circles show up around the mouse pointer when pressing the Control key. But I don't find the setting under Mouse Pointer Option nor do I find the setting for turning on Mouse Trails. In fact, the tab on my Mouse Properties Sheet only says Mouse Pointer Option instead of the plural Mouse Pointer Options which is what I see referenced in online articles. Several of the articles mention the need to have the Windows Classic scheme set and I did change over to it. I am also logged in as administrator if that makes any difference. So, can anyone help me find the way to access the enhanced Mouse Pointer Options? Thanks so much. Jeff If you reply to this message it will be delivered to the original sender only.
